Land of 40 Shades of Green

Ireland is known as the ”land of 40 shades of green.” But we have to say we love the colours in the Fall just as much, if not more! You look out the window each day and the colours have changed – There are numerous browns, yellows & reds.

Not only are the colours stunning but the weather can be too. This Fall we have had the best weather all year. There is a beautiful stillness in the air with very little wind or rain. The seas and lakes of the Wild Atlantic Way are calm and the reflections are stunning, making it hard to figure out what is real and what is a reflection.

There is nothing better than wrapping up for the slight chill and heading to the beach for a walk – yes we said a walk on the beach in November! Or pack a picnic of sandwiches and hot coffee for a trip to the nearest forest to run through the fallen leaves and admire the beauty.

It is also a quieter time of the year for visitors. Head to the pub for a pint or a hot port and it won’t be long before you have made friends with the locals. Fall may just be our favourite season!
